TF: Sustainability
The Quick App Initiative structures its activities via thematic Task Forces. These are organizational structures that deliver concrete results within a set scope and/or time-frame. Each Task Force may address horizontal topics such as "outreach and promotion", or vertical domainss such as "gaming", or project development such as an "open QA engine". A Task Force may encapsulate multiple actions and outputs.

Overview
- Description:
Develop quick apps models for sustainability by design within industry that address such fundamental issues as overproduction, material waste, overconsumption of energy and water.
- Motivation:
Help to generate new revenue streams by means of becoming one of the enablers of new value chains. We chose apparel and footwear industry for this research because it’s easily understood, it is rapidly transforming, welcoming new stakeholders and it is one of the most environmentally unfriendly fields of activity.
The emerging new model of the clothing industry is based on mass customization, manufacturing on demand and made-to-measure principles, which secure a great deal of sustainability through eliminating overproduction, waste reduction, promoting conscious consumption, re-use etc. Among other things, this is enabled by a theoretically unlimited number of light applications (Quick Apps) that measure various characteristics of end-users - from body scans to looks to psychographics to consumption profiles.
In this new industrial model, this data is processed and transmitted across the entire value chain to all of the participants, beginning from designers and further on to banks, financing production, manufacturers 4.0, supply chain companies etc. In this case an array of QuickApps becomes a very important part of e-commerce in the apparel business, but not only e-commerce. Using this array of QuickApps also brings commercial value to other participants of the value chain.
