XMLC generates a closing HTML tag for "void" elements.
Using the latest XMLC libs/jars (xmlc-taskdef-2.3.3.jar and xmlc-all-runtime-2.3.3.jar) our Web UI is (incorrectly) generating end tags (ala "") for buttons (). This was never a problem per say, but now IE 10 is complaining about it in the console window with, "HTML1512: Unmatched end tag." Note that Firefox / View Source displays the end tag "" in RED, probably to reflect its "invalid" state.
According to the rules at http://dev.w3.org/html5/markup/syntax.html#void-element, void elements (which includes ) only have a start tag and cannot have an end tag.
Jacob, is this something on your radar?
Thank you, Marc
